Thank you for considering submitting your region or grid to OpenSim Regions. Please read this very carefully. Any sub standard listings will be immediately removed.
This directory is not intended to replace the existing OpenSim directories and services that already exist. Instead, our aim is to create a carefully curated showcase of outstanding destinations that inspire people to explore the very best that both virtual worlds have to offer.
We want visitors to discover regions that are established, enjoyable to explore and likely to remain available. To help achieve this, we ask that all submitted regions or grids have been operating for at least six months before they are listed.
When reviewing submissions, we consider several factors. These include the quality of the build, originality, attention to detail and the overall experience offered to visitors. Your region might be a beautiful landscape, a role-play community, a shopping destination, a social hangout, a rental community, an educational project or something completely unique. Whatever it is, we want visitors to come away feeling that their visit was worthwhile.
We also ask contributors to put genuine effort into their listing. A single sentence describing your region, accompanied by a poor-quality screenshot, is unlikely to be accepted and will result in the listing being removed. Good descriptions help visitors understand what makes your region special, while clear, attractive images encourage them to visit.
AI-enhanced images are perfectly acceptable, provided they remain faithful to the appearance of the region. We welcome good AI images. Overly manipulated or misleading images should be avoided. Present your image in 16.9 aspect ratio or landscape for best results. Square images will not look good.
Adult Content Policy
OpenSim Regions is intended to be suitable for a general audience. Under no circumstances may listings contain nudity, explicit sexual content or sexually suggestive images. This applies to screenshots, promotional images, videos and written descriptions. Regions whose primary purpose is sexual or adult-oriented will not be accepted, and any listing found to contain prohibited content will be removed without notice.
Before submitting, please take a look at the regions already featured in the directory. They represent the standard we intend to maintain throughout the website.
To keep the directory useful and up to date, we reserve the right to remove listings that:
- represent temporary or short-term regions
- have been permanently closed
- have remained inaccessible for several weeks (allowing for reasonable grid maintenance and temporary outages)
- no longer meet the quality standards of the directory
- contain nudity, explicit sexual content or other material considered unsuitable for a general audience
- duplicate an existing listing (only one listing per region is permitted)
These guidelines are not intended to discourage anyone from submitting their work. On the contrary, we hope they encourage region owners to present their creations in the best possible way and help us build a directory that visitors can trust.
Thank you for taking the time to read these guidelines. We look forward to showcasing the results of your creativity, dedication and hard work.
