This may not be one of OpenSim’s best-known shopping destinations, but it is a true Aladdin’s cave packed with useful freebies and hidden treasures. From the moment you arrive, you are surrounded by small shops and displays filled with free items waiting to be discovered. A gentle river winds its way through the region, complete with a passing boat, creating a peaceful setting that invites you to slow down and explore.
One of the first areas you’ll encounter is the Animesh Barn, packed with an impressive collection of animated creatures and useful objects. There are many unusual curiosities that can be difficult to find elsewhere. The animal section is particularly impressive, offering enough wildlife to populate an entire zoo. Highlights include hedgehogs, woodpeckers, owls and a variety of other animals that are rarely available on other freebie regions.
This is an unpretentious region with a simple purpose: providing visitors with an outstanding collection of free content. Be sure not to miss the pirate hideout concealed beneath the shipwreck, while the art gallery contains a varied collection of romantic and fantasy artwork that can be used to decorate your own picture frames. There is also a furniture store offering a selection of distinctive pieces, many of which are quite niche and not easily found in the larger shopping centres.
The best way to experience this region is to wander slowly and browse without rushing. Many of the market stalls contain far more than first appears, and those who simply glance as they walk past are likely to miss some excellent finds. As you continue exploring, you’ll discover a building dedicated to Ruth avatars and clothing, together with sections devoted to hair, boots and tattoos. Other areas feature garden decorations, fantasy items, artwork, textures, Athena and Petite content, as well as a dedicated men’s section.
There is simply too much to list in a single review. Every corner seems to reveal something new, making this one of those regions that rewards repeat visits. Whether you are furnishing a home, creating a garden, looking for avatars and clothing, or simply searching for something unusual, this delightful freebie region is well worth exploring.
Credit goes to MillyAnn Morgana, whose generosity in creating and maintaining this extensive collection has provided the OpenSim community with a genuine treasure trove of free content.
